Who we are
Goose Island Farm is a brand new small acreage vegetable farm on a sunny pasture in Oregon City. Jenny started the operation in 2024, after years of clearing blackberries and building rustic infrastructure. Our growing practices use conservation tillage and regenerative agriculture techniques such as cover cropping and organic amendments. We now wholesale dry beans and winter vegetables throughout the greater Portland area.
Why is it called Goose Island?
Contrary to the name, there are no geese here (yet) and it is not an island. The name comes from a children’s book, where a goose made a lovely home on an island far from the maddening crowd. Our hope is that this land can be a similar refuge to the one depicted in the book. Come visit and see for yourself!
